Poetry-Specific Guidelines
-
Only original poetry is allowed. If you are performing someone else’s work (with due credit), please inform the organizer beforehand. Plagiarism may lead to disqualification and ban from future events.
-
Poetry is personal. Please listen attentively and respectfully when others are performing. Avoid mobile usage or chit-chat during performances.
-
Avoid turning your poetry into direct religious preaching or political propaganda. It’s an open mic, not a rally.
Audience Etiquette
-
Respect performers. Avoid unnecessary heckling or interruptions. The host or organizer may request anyone to leave for misconduct.
