Guidelines
Performer Reporting Time:
All performers are required to report at the venue at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled event start time. This is mandatory.
Late Arrival & Cancellation Policy:
If a performer fails to arrive within 15 minutes after the event has started, the organizer reserves the full right to cancel the performer’s slot without prior notice. In such cases, no refund or rescheduling will be applicable. Punctuality is a core value of the event, and failure to respect time will be treated as a breach of terms.
-
Slot will be confirmed only after successful payment through this website. First come, first served basis.
-
Each performer is required to bring one accompanying guest as a spectator, whose entry will be free.
- Performances must not promote hate speech, violence, or discrimination.
-
We also reserve the right to stop any performance midway if deemed unsuitable, vulgar, obscene, insensitive or offending.
-
Each performer will get a fixed time limit of 6 minutes, exceeding which may result in an early stop.
-
The Social House retains the right to use and share recorded performances for promotional purposes.
-
If you’re coming from outside Delhi, travel/stay expenses are on you. In case of cancellation from our side, only your ticket fee will be refunded—not your travel/accommodation cost.
-
Only original poetry is allowed. If you are performing someone else’s work (with due credit), please inform the organizer beforehand. Plagiarism may lead to disqualification and ban from future events.
-
Poetry is personal. Please listen attentively and respectfully when others are performing. Avoid mobile usage or chit-chat during performances.
-
Avoid turning your poetry into direct religious preaching or political propaganda. It’s an open mic, not a rally.
-
Respect performers. Avoid unnecessary heckling or interruptions. The host or organizer may request anyone to leave for misconduct.
